Very rare 1955's Crosby's Gold Star 'Extra Fancy Quality' Table Molasses tin can. This is an empty tin from the 1955's for collectible purposes or display. Crosby Molasses Co. Limited - Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. This can is in good condition with some wear. There is some paint loss on the front as well as on the back. There are 2 holes in the back of the can where it was nailed to a wall. There are some scratches around the sides and there is a few drops of white paint overspray on the front. This can is in good displayable condition and it still displays very well with nice bright colors that pop. Bottom of tin is intact but the top is missing. Almost every Canadian can remember growing up with Crosby's Molasses on their kitchen table. This can will bring back memories every time you look at it in your collection...even if you aren't as old as the can is. 1 IMPERIAL QUART / 3 LB 4 OZ CAN THAT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 6.5" INCHES IN HEIGHT, 4" INCHES IN DIAMETER. Perfect addition to any tin collection - it will fit in with country store advertising, 1 imperial quart motor oil / anti-freeze cans, or will just make a great decoration for any area. This is a rare can that is being sold from a Canadian Molasses collection. Can is marked with the Canco logo in a circle ("Amer. Canco 31A") which dates to approximately the mid-1950's.
